Isla Bella bunkers LNG at Jacksonville Port

TOTE Maritime on Tuesday said its LNG-powered containership, Isla Bella, bunkered liquefied natural gas at Jacksonville Port for the first time.

According to a company statement, approximately 100,000 LNG gallons were loaded into Isla Bella’s tanks from 12 ISO LNG containers delivered by truck.

TOTE Maritime’s partners sourced the liquefied natural gas from AGL Resources Macon facility in Georgia.

In January last year, TOTE signed a deal with Pivotal LNG, a unit of AGL Resources and WesPac Midstream for the supply of liquefied natural gas for its LNG-powered containerships.

Isla Bella has two 900 cbm tanks that weigh 380 tons each with a combined capacity of about 465,000 gallons.
