Italy: Prysmian Launches New Corporate Website

Prysmian Group, world leader in the energy and telecom cables and systems industry, has launched its new corporate website, www.prysmiangroup.com, which represents the entire Group following the merger between Prysmian and Draka and supersedes about 50 websites previously operated by the two multinational companies.

The new website is intended to be an effective reference point for all stakeholders, presenting the latest and most updated information from the Group about products, projects, contracts, financial results and investments. Strengthening the Group’s customer centricity, it will give customers a complete understanding of what the Prysmian Group is able to offer in terms of products and solutions.

By representing the state-of-the-art in digital web solutions, the site is focused entirely on user experience, is self-explanatory and finding information is quick and easy. A modular structure enables visitors to have a single point of access to visit both corporate and business sections through one umbrella site.

17 businesses presented, 1,700 pages, 1,600 product descriptions/brochures/catalogues, new completely revised and improved sections for businesses, IR, People and Corporate Social Responsibility, extensive use of videos, photos and innovative graphics, publications and posts about key events and news concerning the Group, optimisation of visibility on all search engines, make www.prysmiangroup.com a reference point not just in the cable industry.

One of the most important aspects is user-friendliness. Among the most important features, multiple search functions have been implemented to find information quickly and easily. Besides the traditional search tools, the site also includes a high-end interactive search tool based on 2D drawings called “applications finder”. The tool also includes supporting videos to better understand the kind of services we are able to offer, whether you work for local government, a construction company or as a buying agent. The tool helps everyone find the right information, with or without product knowledge.

“The development and launch of the new website has been an extensive project,” comments Lorenzo Caruso, Corporate & Business Communications Director. “Prysmian and Draka’s different go-to-market approaches had to be unified according to the Group’s new organisational model, and I am very pleased with the final result.”

“The new website is by no means an “end-goal” but a work in progress, and we are continuously working to improve it with the ultimate goal of providing our stakeholders with a better tool, day by day.”
