The “Rossita” is the vessel tasked with transporting radioactive material from the dismantlement of Russian nuclear submarines. RS completed survey over construction of a new vessel for the carriage of irradiated nuclear fuel. The modern vessel Rossita with displacement equal to 4 000 t was designed for irradiated nuclear fuel and radioactive wastes transportation.

Rossita was constructed under the agreement between the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and the Ministry of the Economic Development of Italy to the RS class at Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. The vessel will be operated by the Russian Federal State Unitary Enterprise ATOMFLOT.
