Jahre Marine of Norway has reportedly signed a contract with the chinese shipyard Avic Dingheng for building an LNG carrier for bunkering and small scale distribution.

The ship, of 6,200m³ capacity, has been designed by Rolls-Royce Marine and it will be used for general small-scale LNG deliveries as well as supply of gas to shipowners with vessels running on LNG.

Avic Dingheng Shipyard has long experience and knowledge in building LNG, LPG and Ethylen carriers as well as product and chemical carriers,” shipyard spokesman Ni Zhimin said.
