Japan: February LNG Imports Down

Japan’s LNG imports reached 7.5 million tonnes in February, down 1.9 percent compared to the year before, according to data released by the finance ministry.

Japan imported 8.23 million tonnes in January, up 1 percent compared to the year before.

The country imported 18.689 million kilolitres (4.2 million barrels per day) of crude oil last month, the preliminary data showed.
