Japan: spot LNG contracted in June at USD 13.8 per mmBtu

Japan’s average price of spot LNG that is contracted in June is $13.8 per mmBtu on DES basis, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) said on Monday.

“The average price of spot LNG imported into Japan that arrived in June is $15 per mmBtu,” METI added.

Japan, the world’s biggest buyer of liquefied natural gas, imported 87.73 million tonnes of LNG in the fiscal year ended in March, up 1 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
