Japan: Tokyo Gas April-September Sales Up 2.8 Percent

Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas of Japan for the month of September 2012 came to about 1,024.137 million m3, increased by 12.141 million m3 (+1.2%) from September 2011.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 114.196 million m3, down 16.3% from September 2011, while in the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), the volume increased by 3.9% to 251.574 million m3.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled about 491.936 million m3, up 5.9% from last year.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled about 166.432 million m3, down 1.4% from September 2011.

Gas sales volume in the first half of fiscal 2012 (April – September 2012) totaled about 6,431.398 million m3, up by 2.8 % from the same period in fiscal 2011.
