Japan: Tokyo Gas sales decline in January
Total gas sales volume by Japan’s Tokyo Gas for the month of January came to about 1,574.341 million cubic meters, down 4.9 percent on year.
In the residential sector, volume totaled 458.318 million cubic meters, down 10.4 percent compared to January 2015, while in the business sector, volume totaled 255.610 million cubic meters, down 10.7 percent from the same month in 2015, Tokyo Gas’ monthly report reveals.
In the industrial sector, volume totaled 623.093 million cubic meters, down 1.5 percent from January 2015.
Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 237.320 million cubic meters, up 5.8 percent from the same month in 2015.
