JOGMEC, QP Sign MoU for Bilateral Cooperation (Japan)

Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation(JOGMEC) and Qatar Petroleum(QP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for bilateral technical cooperation between them.

The MOU covers several areas including technologies used in the oil and gas upstream developments, and the development of human resources through training.

The agreement was signed by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada the Minister of Energy and Industry in the State of Qatar and the Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum, and Mr. Hirobumi Kawano the President of Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation. The signing took place on the sidelines of a visit to Qatar by Japanese Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Shinzo Abe.

It is expected that the MOU will strengthen the relationships between Qatar and Japanese companies including JOGMEC, and contribute to the further development of Qatari human resources.
