The VLGC LPG Genesis River was delivered to the company at Kawasaki Heavy Industries’ Sakaide Shipyard today.

The 82,418 cbm newbuilding commences its service to Gyxis under a time charter contract concluded in 2015.

On November 2, 2018, the ship was named Genesis River.

“This vessel becomes the second LPG carrier in our fleet which is employed by Gyxis, and we are hopeful of her contribution to the evergrowing global seaborne LPG trading through her service to Gyxis,” K Line said.

As explained, the vessel is designed for improved propulsion performance and lower fuel consumption, with environmentally-friendly equipment such as ballast water management system installed.

Featuring a length of 229.9 meters and a width of 37.2 meters, the vessel has a gross tonnage of 46,794 tons. Genesis River currently has a market value of USD 70.16 million, VesselsValue’s data shows.
