KMG said on Tuesday that it teamed up with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Total during the visit of the French Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire to Kazakhstan.

According to the company, the parties intend to assist the government and other organizations in implementing the “Digital Kazakhstan” state program and further development of digitalization in the oil and gas industry.

Under the memorandum of cooperation, the improvement of digitalization will be conducted through the implementation of digitalization projects, improvement of data management, staff training, and professional development, promotion of educational initiatives, and other planned activities.

Deputy chairman of the KMG management board Jakup Marabayev said: “Total is among the top ten largest oil and gas companies in the world. Therefore, its experience in the field of digitalization of oil and gas industry and support of advanced technologies will enable Kazakhstan to learn the best models of work to improve operational performance and improve oil and gas assets.

“The memorandum will not only strengthen the cooperation between the two companies but will significantly expand its scope.”
