KBR moves to phase two of Woodfibre LNG FEED

KBR said it will proceed with front-end engineering design (FEED) for the Woodfibre LNG project.

This is the second phase of the contract KBR won in March this year for the multi-phased FEED services for the LNG project, in Squamish, British Columbia.

The first phase, focused on cost optimization for the project has already been completed, KBR said in its statement on Monday.

Under the second phase of the contract, KBR will provide FEED services for the 2.1 MTPA liquefaction export facility from KBR’s operating centers in Houston, USA and Edmonton, Canada, culminating in a lump-sum turn-key (LSTK) price for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract.

The 2.1 mtpa plant will also include a 250,000 cbm storage tank and export infrastructure with three to four ships expected to load at the facility each month.

Canada’s Woodfibre LNG is a subsidiary of Pacific Oil & Gas Limited, which is part of the Singapore-based RGE group of companies.
