LNG engineer KBR said it has won a pre-front end engineering and design (FEED) study for Australasia LNG’s proposed LNG Hub terminal in Probolinggo, East Java, Indonesia.

Australasia LNG, the Australian private company, with offices in Melbourne, Australia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is a provider of mid-scale LNG infrastructure.

Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide a pre-FEED study for the onshore LNG regasification and truck loading distribution facilities of the proposed LNG terminal, the company said in a statement.

KBR added that the study will further be developed for subsequent implementation phases to meet a throughput capacity of 3 million MTPA.

There is also potential for expansion by adding more LNG regasification trains and increasing the storage capacities to meet future demands in the East Java region, the statement reads.
