Steel Cutting for Floatel Endurance (Philippines)

Last Thursday, October  25, 2012 strike steel took place in Keppel Subic Shipyard in Philippines. This is the start of the construction work of Floatel International’s fourth new-building ordered at Keppel FELS, Singapore.

The new building, named Floatel Endurance , is expected to be delivered early 2015.

“I am very pleased to see that the construction of our fourth new building has commenced and that the project is on track for delivery early 2015. On behalf of the Board of Directors I would like to thank the shipyard and our project team for all efforts taken to achieve this important project milestone”, said Peter Jacobsson.

USD 315 million

Floatel Endurance, worth US$315 million, will be built to the Floatel Superior design, a DSSTM 20NS design developed by GustoMSC and Keppel FELS’ Deepwater Technology Group. Equipped with Dynamic Positioning (DP) 3 capability, it will meet the most stringent rules and regulations for worldwide operations including the Norwegian Sector.
