Kist leaves PNW LNG, Culbert takes over

Dato’ Wee Yiaw Hin, Chair of Pacific NorthWest LNG’s Board of Directors, said that he has received and accepted a letter of resignation from Greg Kist who will be returning to his home and family in Alberta.

Michael Culbert, a member of the Pacific NorthWest LNG Board of Directors, will immediately assume the role of acting President. Michael will also continue in his role as President and CEO of Progress Energy.

Dato’ Wee Yiaw Hin also thanked Greg Kist for his leadership and contributions to Pacific NorthWest LNG. “Under Greg’s leadership, the company was formed and continues to work towards a final investment decision this year. He leaves Pacific NorthWest LNG as a strong company with an excellent management team and a committed, dedicated group of employees. We wish him much success in Alberta and want to ensure continuity of leadership during this period of transition.”

In a statement to employees about his resignation, Kist said “Pacific NorthWest LNG has made a huge contribution to the province of British Columbia and it was a pleasure to be part of such a vibrant and dynamic organization. I know it will continue to fulfil its mandate with its strong management team and exemplary staff.”
