Klaipedos Nafta earns EUR 5.4 million from LNG in July

Klaipedos Nafta, the operator of Lithuania’s LNG terminal, said that it has earned EUR 5.4 million from gas sales from the terminal in the port of Klaipeda in July.

This is equal to the one-twelfth of the sum of necessary LNG terminal operation costs and return on investments into LNG infrastructure for the year 2015, the company said in a report.

During  the last month, the LNG terminal re-regasified and supplied 326 thousand MWh of natural gas to Lithuania’s gas transmission system, it added.

Höegh LNG’s 170,000 cbm Independence FSRU, chartered by Klaipedos Nafta, started operations in November 2014 as the country’s first LNG import terminal in Klaipeda.
