Klaipedos Nafta, JetGas in LNG capacity reservation deal

Klaipedos Nafta, the operator of Lithuania’s LNG terminal, said it has signed a preliminary agreement with JetGas of Estonia on station capacity reservation.

JetGas, Estonia’s only LNG supplier, expects to start using Klaipedos Nafta’s on-shore small-scale LNG reloading station as soon as the construction is completed. The startup of the facility is scheduled for early 2017, Klaipedos Nafta said in a statement.

JetGas operates the Kuressaare LNG distribution station that started operation in 2014 and is looking to build three similar station in 2015 and add four more in 2016.

Klaipedos Nafta’s CEO Mantas Bartuška said the company plans to conclude more preliminary LNG station capacity reservation agreements in the near future.
