Klaipedos Nafta, the operator of the first Lithuanian LNG terminal said on Wednesday that the import facility’s revenue dropped in 2016 compared to the year before.

According to the company’s monthly report, Klaipedos Nafta’s revenue for the month of December slipped 47.6 percent from €10.5 million (Approx: US$11.1 million).

Revenue for the January-December period has also dropped from €109.8 million in the corresponding period in 2015 to €103.7 million, a decline of 5.6 percent.

During December, the FSRU Independence, serving as Lithuania’s LNG import terminal, regasified 850,000 MWh of the liquefied natural gas and supplied it to the natural gas transmission system. This is a 352.1 percent rise compared to the 188 MWh regasified and supplied to the national gas transmission system in December 2015.

Regasification volumes for the January-December 2016 period reached 14.6 million MWh, 220.5 percent rise from the 4.6 million MWh regasified and supplied to the national gas transmission system, the report shows.
