Kogas, Enagas ink LNG collaboration deal

South Korea’s Kogas said it has signed on Tuesday a technical memorandum of understanding with Spanish LNG terminal operator Enagas.

According to the agreement, the two companies intend to conduct a “technical level assessment in order to evaluate technology level and spur cooperation and information exchange in the LNG terminal operation sector,” Kogas said in a statement.

The assessment will be carried out using the “K-Tol” system developed by Kogas, the Korean LNG importer said.

Kogas said it intends to expand and develop the tool through cooperation with global gas energy companies in Asia and the Americas as it looks to commercialize the system and set it as a standard evaluation tool for the LNG terminal operation and maintenance sector.
