Lebanese Petroleum Administration Announces Offshore Licensing Round

The Petroleum Administration of the Republic of Lebanon has announced a seminar event in London on 7th March to promote pre-qualification for the first Lebanese offshore licensing round. Representatives from the Petroleum Administration will give keynote talks on the latest information regarding the first Lebanese offshore licensing round. In addition, guest speakers will also present talks on the hydrocarbon prospectivity of the region.

On Friday 15th February the Petroleum Administration of the Republic of Lebanon launched the opening of pre-qualification to the first offshore Lebanon licensing round at a press conference held at the Ministry of Energy & Water in Beirut. Oil companies are invited to submit their application to participate in the licensing round to the Petroleum Administration by March 28th. Companies are invited to apply either as a Right Holder Operator or a Right Holder Non-Operator.

This is the only formal event the Petroleum Administration plan to host prior to the deadline for pre-qualification on 28th March. The seminar will take place immediately following the APPEX Conference in London on 7th March and at the same venue. Oil companies will be advised of the pre-qualification process and criteria. They will also be informed of the technical data available to assist oil companies wishing to participate in the bidding process. The event will immediately be followed by a networking forum.
