Lithuania LNG Project Wins Environmental Approval

Klaipedos Nafta of Lithuania, which is implementing an LNG terminal project in the Baltic country, said in a statement that Regional Environmental Protection Department of Klaipeda by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania yesterday granted development consent on construction and activities of LNG import terminal and related objects of infrastructure in the southern part of Klaipeda State Seaport nearby Pig’s back island.

The aforementioned consent finalised the procedure of environmental impact assessment on LNG terminal project, the company said.

Klaipedos Nafta yesterday also published a notice in the Financial Times on procurement of liquefied natural gas.
