LNG Limited: management changes at Bear Head LNG

Australia’s LNG Limited on Monday revealed changes in the management of its unit Bear Head LNG that is developing the 8 mtpa liquefied natural gas export facility in Canada’s Nova Scotia.

According to the company’s statement, John Godbold, chief operating officer and project director, and Ian Salmon, chief financial officer for Bear Head LNG have both decided to leave Bear Head LNG and “pursue outside opportunities.”

LNG Limited’s managing director and CEO Maurice Brand noted that recently appointed chief technical officer for LNGL, John Baguley will take over the executive management of Bear Head LNG project team.

Brand will continue as president of the Bear Head LNG project companies, the statement reveals.

LNG Limited executives intend to visit Nova Scotia next month together with Brand in order to talk to key stakeholders.

The delegation intends to “secure the project’s leadership transition and assure politicians, regulators and the local team that the project will progress through to construction and operation,” the statement said.
