LNG tanker due at UK’s Grain terminal this week

The UK’s Isle of Grain LNG import terminal, operated by National Grid, will receive a cargo of the chilled gas this week.

The 154,914 cbm GDF Suez Point Fortin, which is carrying a cargo from Algeria, is expected to dock at the Grain terminal on May 6, shipping data reveals.

Grain terminal is about to offer a reload service to the market following successful cool down and ship reload trials on the 160,000 cbm Asia Vision LNG carrier.

Simon Culkin, Grain LNG terminal manager, recently said that this new reloading service “facilitates the terminal’s break bulk capability and complements its cooling, road tankering and regasification services.”
