Low LNG demand in Argentina holds issuance of new tenders

Low LNG demand in Argentina holds issuance of new tenders

YPF of Argentina is evaluating the demand for LNG imports to the country in 2015 and with enough stocks in the tanks, the company is not going to issue a tender any time soon.

Mild weather in Argentina this winter complicated the demand outlook reducing the urgency for new LNG cargoes, sources told Reuters.

According to some traders, further tenders for 2015 have not been launched as the demand remained low and Argentina’s two terminals, Escobar and Bahia Blanca had plenty of stocks. Tenders for 2016 supply are even further off.
