Malaysia: Sabah to Develop Port Infrastructure

Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, the Sabah Deputy Chief Minister, said that RM368.51 million has been allocated to develop infrastructure in Sabah next year, reports bernama.com.

The amount will be distributed to four departments:

– Public Works Department (RM186.9 million),

– Waterworks Department (RM164.9 million),

– Port and Wharf Department (RM13.5 million)

– Railway Department (RM3.25 million).

It is obvious that infrastructure in the state is still underdeveloped compared to other states. So apart from the state’s allocation, the federal government has also taken steps to improve the quality of life among the people in the state,” stated Kitingan.
