Manheim CNG center put into operation
Direct Energy Business and Xpress Natural Gas informed that the compressed natural gas production facility and distribution terminal in Manheim, New York is fully operational, seven months after commencing construction.
The Manheim CNG center can deliver up to 45 trucks per day of natural gas with an annual peak capacity of 5.7 billion cubic feet, the companies said in a statement.
The center will provide CNG to remote businesses and municipalities that cannot sufficiently be served from existing pipeline infrastructure.
The Energy Information Administration reported that natural gas demand in the United States will increase by 16 percent by 2035 over 2009 demand levels.
