Manor Completes Merkur Work

UK-based Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) has completed its scope of work on the 396MW Merkur offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.

GE Renewable Energy contracted MRE to supply temporary power, personnel, and a multi-purpose vessel during the commissioning of the wind farm’s 66 GE Haliade 150-6MW turbines.

The jack-up vessel Seafox 5 installed the last turbine at the site 45km from the island of Borkum in September 2018. The wind farm produced the first power at the beginning of June 2018.

Owned by Merkur Offshore GmbH, the Merkur offshore wind farm is expected to be officially commissioned this year.

Merkur Offshore GmbH is a joint venture between Partners Group, InfraRed Capital Partners, DEME Concessions and Coriolis.
