Marine Power Systems joins Ocean Energy Europe

Marine Power Systems (MPS), a Swansea-based wave energy developer, has become a member of Ocean Energy Europe.

Marine Power Systems joined a growing list of industry representatives uniting behind a common strategy for industrialising the ocean energy sector, MPS’ press release reads.

With Marine Power Systems recently joining as a member, together with Mojo Maritime and Wavepower, Ocean Energy Europe exceeded 100 members.

Gareth Stockman, Managing Director of Marine Power Systems, said:

MPS is currently in the process of designing, manufacturing and testing a quarter scale model prototype of WaveSub device that will be deployed at FaBTest, a test area situated 2.8 km2 within Falmouth harbor, later this year.

Ocean Energy Europe is a Brussels-based industry group representing the renewable ocean energy sector in Europe.
