Mellitah extends firefighting system tender for DP4 platform off Libya

Mellitah Oil & Gas has extended an invitation for companies to apply to a tender to replace firefighting foam network on the Bouri field DP4 platform offshore Libya.

Mellitah Oil & Gas, the operator of the Bouri field, is a consortium between Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Eni North Africa.

The invitation relates to all local, joint venture, and foreign specialized companies “that have established themselves in the ability and competence to carry out the required work.”

The scope of the work under the tender is for carrying out engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, offshore delivery, decommissioning, testing, and dismantling and reinstatement of the entire firefighting foam concentrate piping network including all valves, flanges, bolts, and other fittings at the DP4 Bouri platform.

It also includes transportation of old network and units off the platform by selecting a suitable contractor with experience in relevant to revamping and replacement projects on offshore platforms.

The Bouri field is part of Block NC 41, which is located 120 kilometers from the Libyan coastline in the Mediterranean Sea. The block contains three known reservoirs, one oil reservoir, and two gas reservoirs. The block is served by two production platforms DP4 and DP3, from which the oil is sent to the nearby Gaza FSO.
