Meratus Banjar 2 Container Ship Sinks Off Indonesia

Container ship Meratus Banjar 2 has reportedly sunk in Java Sea near Indonesia.

The ship was en route from Surabaya to Makassar Sulawesi.

The crew of Meratus Banjar 2, owned by Meratus Line, reported a leak in the engine room before the ship sank.

According to local media, two crew members are missing and the search and rescue operation is underway.

Meratus Spirit I also from Meratus Line is searching for the crew along with Indonesian Navy.
