Mexico set for more LNG from Peru

Peru’s liquefied natural gas export terminal at Pampa Melchorita dispatched a cargo to Mexico on Monday.

State-owned Perupetro revealed that the cargo left the facility on October 19 onboard Shell’s G class Gemmata LNG carrier with a capacity of 138,104 cbm.

The exact destination of the LNG carrier built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 2004 has not been confirmed by Perupetro, although it is probably heading for Mexico’s Manzanillo terminal.

This marks the 289th cargo loaded at Peru’s LNG export facility since the start of operations in June 2010.
