The vessel, with a cargo capacity of 180,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel has been deployed by Uniper Global Commodities, a Uniper company, under the company’s first transportation service contract for several voyages.

The LNG Schneeweisschen features the slow-speed two-stroke engine (X-DF) made by Winterthur Gas & Diesel, which can run on natural gas, MGO and heavy fuel oil.

It also features the methane refrigeration system-full re-liquefaction (MRS-F) by DSME, which works with the X-DF engine to re-liquefy surplus boil-off gas and returning it as LNG to the cargo tank.
