Monadelphous JV grabs Karratha gas plant job

Perth-based LNG engineering company Monadelphous on Wednesday informed its joint venture with Giovenco Industries has been awarded a services deal for the Karratha gas plant life extension program.

MGJV is a 70:30 joint venture between Monadelphous and Giovenco Industries.

MGJV’s services for the Woodside-operated Karratha gas plant’s life extension program include planning and execution of mechanical, electrical, access, fire protection application, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation services, Monadelphous said in a statement.

Work under the two-year contract is set to begin in early 2016, according to the statement.

The North West Shelf project facilities include five LNG processing trains with a total capacity of 16.3 million tons a year.
