Morgan Lewis hires LNG specialist

US law firm, Morgan Lewis on Tuesday said it hired Kirstin Gibbs, a partner with experience in liquefied natural gas matters. 

Gibbs’ who focuses on regulatory issues and the regulatory aspects of transactions counsels global and US-based clients in connection with LNG issues, including supply, siting, and maritime concerns, the law firm said in a statement.

Additionally, Gibbs counsels clients on obtaining import and export authorizations from the US Department of Energy, and represent pipelines, producers, traders, marketers, utilities, and end-users in matters related to oil and gas sales, financial trading, transportation, and storage.

She also advises on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) market participation, FERC compliance and enforcement actions, and rate and policy matters involving natural gas and oil companies, the  statement added.
