MSC Preziosa to Make Maiden Voyage along Brazilian Coast

MSC Preziosa to Make Maiden Voyage along Brazilian Coast

After the warm reception received by MSC Fantasia last season, and following by a few days the glorious arrival of MSC Divina in PortMiami last week, MSC Cruises is now sending a third magnificent flagship to South America. MSC Preziosa will call along the Brazilian coast for the first time this year, offering travellers the chance to savour the pleasures of her Mediterranean spirit on unforgettable voyages of fun and exploration.

Recently, during her maiden call, MSC Preziosa opened her doors to more than 2,500 guests for a glamorous party on board. In the presence of officers, executives of MSC Cruises, celebrities, media and travel agents, the famous Brazilian artist Xuxa gave a welcome speech and wished a good season to this masterpiece of the seas. The celebrations also saw performances by the children’s choir of the Xuxa Foundation, concerts by Banda Eva and DJs from Energy 97FM. Included in the programme of this special night were a gala dinner and an outstanding live show in the ship’s theatre, entitled Pandora and inspired by the movie Avatar.

Among the irresistible innovations exclusive to MSC Preziosa’s first South American season, the splash-packed fun and games of the Doremi Castle kids aqua park, the swooping thrills of Vertigo, the longest single-rider water slide on the seas, the Mediterranean fusion Galaxy restaurant, boasting delicious brunch as well as all-day dining, and a panoramic disco that keeps the beat ‘til late. Travellers are also in for a slow-food treat with the exclusive Eataly restaurant and Ristorante Italia, the first two Eataly restaurants on the seas. Among many attractions, the ship also features a 1,600-seat theatre, a Formula 1 simulator, a 4D cinema, a pin-bowling alley, a sports court, a power walking track, five swimming pools, and 12 whirlpool baths.

MSC Preziosa also features the MSC Yacht Club. MSC Cruises unique “ship-within-a-ship” will be available for guests looking for unparalleled indulgence, luxury and comfort. From personal butler, 24-hour concierge service and complimentary select wines and spirits available any time of the day, guests booked in the MSC Yacht Club Suites are pampered throughout the MSC Yacht Club’s exclusive lounges and One Pool secluded area. This oasis of premium tranquillity provides several private venues, as well as private access to the MSC Aurea Spa.

MSC Preziosa will start the 2013/2014 season from Santos offering mini-cruises to the tropical islands of the South East as well as a vast array of 6,7 and 8-night cruises to the North East region of Brazil. She will be joined by 3 other ships – MSC Magnifica, that will also depart from Santos, MSC Orchestra, departing from Rio de Janeiro, and MSC Poesia, that will depart from Buenos Aires in Argentina, giving MSC travellers the unique opportunity to discover the fascinating landscapes and warm cultures of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay – from palm-fringed beaches, tropical islands and forests, to captivating metropolises bustling with wonderful neighbourhoods in one of the world’s most fascinating region.
