Natural Power Leads Due Diligence Services in France

International renewable energy consultancy Natural Power has acted as lead due diligence engineer for the acquisition of a portfolio of eight operational wind farms in France. Natural Power as technical advisor together with KPMG acting as financial advisor and also undertaking the financial due diligence, acted on behalf of the buyer, a consortium whose members include EOS Holdings, Group E and the City of Lausanne.

The portfolio is made up of eight projects totalling forty four turbines located in the regions of Picardie, Champagne-Ardennes and Poitou-Charentes in Northern and Central France.

Natural Power’s life-cycle due diligence services were applied in support of this acquisition through a twenty strong team of specialists based across Strasbourg and Nantes, and supported by the wider Natural Power team. Natural Power’s capabilities in France span the full due diligence scope and include construction expertise, turbine inspections, operations and wind resource.

Natural Power worked in close collaboration with KPMG France to coordinate the financial model with the technical and contractual characteristics of the portfolio.

This transaction adds to the over 700 MW of constructed or permitted projects that Natural Power has audited on behalf of banks and equity investors in France in 2012 alone.
