Naval Shipyard Gdynia Revamps ‘Paramar’

On Monday, December 9th 2013, the Naval Shipyard Gdynia SA, Poland began the overhaul of the bulk carrier “Paramar” of the German Shipowner “Marship Management GmbH”.

It is the third vessel of this shipowner being overhauled at the shipyard this year.

The scope of works included spot sandblasting and painting of the hull, dis-assembly and repair of hold covers, survey of overboard valves and renewal of anodes. Moreover, it has been decided to make measurements of anchor cables, renew packing of tail-shafts’ line, survey and repair auxiliary generators and the shafts’ generator.

End of the overhaul and launching of this vessel was held on 18th of December 2013.
