As World Maritime News previously reported, the 4,563 TEU vessel was acquired for a price of USD 13.9 million.

As informed, the vessel is chartered out at a net rate of USD 11,791 per day until December 2018.

Navios Miami is expected to generate approximately USD 1.9 million of EBITDA for the first year.

The acquisition of the vessel was financed with cash on the balance sheet and a USD 9 million term loan facility. The debt has an amortization profile of seven years, matures in September 2023 and bears interest at LIBOR plus 300 bps per annum, according to the company.

Earlier this month, the company announced plans to pursue a direct listing on the US Stock Exchange after it ceased marketing its proposed US initial public offering.

Navios Containers controls 26 vessels, totaling 124,101 TEU, with a current average fleet age of 10.4 years.
