NDM to Deliver Deck Machinery for LNG PSV

NDM (Norwegian Deck Machinery) announced it had signed a new contract with Remontowa Shipbuilding for delivery of deck machinery to a PSV vessel of Wärtsilä VS 4411 LNG PSV design.

The ship will operate primarily on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and is owned by Siem Offshore, the Norway based provider of marine services to the oil and gas industry. It will be operated under charter by A/S Norske Shell.

NDM will deliver the following equipment for this vessel:

  • Two off combined windlass/mooring winches
  • Two off chain stoppers
  • Two off tugger winches
  • Two off mooring winches

The combined windlass/mooring winches and tugger winches is electrical, frequency controlled, driven. The mooring winches is hydraulic driven. NDM will also provide the frequency converter cabinets for the equipment.

“We are proud to once again being selected as the supplier of deck machinery by Remontowa Shipbuilding, and we are looking forward to continue working for this project,” the company said in a statement.

The equipment is scheduled for delivery in June 2014.
