New Operations Manager for RMEC

OILFIELD services company RMEC Ltd has strengthened its recently forged management team with the appointment of a new operations manager.

New Operations Manager for RMEC

Dean Greig joins the Forfar-based well intervention equipment firm as it embarks on the next stage in its growth strategy following the £7.5million investment by Maven Capital Partners in April.

An industry professional with more than 35 years’ engineering and well services experience, Greig has a wealth of knowledge gleaned from a career in both on and offshore operational roles across the UKCS.

He joins RMEC from Aker Qserv Ltd and will drive the ongoing development of well service operations as the company embarks on a planned period of fast-track growth in the North Sea.

Managing director Bryan Fagan said: “Dean is a well-known and highly respected figure in the industry and his joining the team provides us with the operational experience we need to complement the existing technical expertise that has underpinned our business and helped consolidate our position in the industry to date.

“This provides us with a strong platform on which to build and reach our ambition of becoming a leader in the rental, sale and service of equipment for well services. It is important however that we retain the customer-focused approach that has been integral to the success of our business so far. Having someone of Dean’s calibre join the team will ensure we can achieve that.”

RMEC is a mechanical and hydraulic engineering company specialising in the manufacture, maintenance, repair, testing, recertification and rental of well services equipment for the oil and gas industry. It currently has 20 staff based at facilities south of Aberdeen and a turnover of £9million.
