New Propulsion Engines from Caterpillar

Caterpillar Marine will unveil the Cat® Reman 3116, 3126 and 3126B propulsion engines for yachts at the 2014 Miami International Boat Show.

Remanufactured using only 100% Caterpillar Remanufactured or genuine new parts, the economical Cat Reman engines will enter production in summer 2014.

These propulsion engines will be available in ratings of 304 – 456 mhp and are ideal for pleasure craft as well as fishing vessels. The Cat 3126 version of this family will be on display at the Caterpillar booth #P79 at the upcoming Miami International Boat Show, held February 13-17th in Miami, Florida.

“The Cat 3116, Cat 3126 and Cat 3126B engines are some of the most popular engine platforms we’ve ever produced and we’re proud to relaunch them as remanufactured engines, providing customers with a reliable yet affordable alternative to an engine overhaul,” David L. Holt, Caterpillar Marine part sales manager noted. “These are the first remanufactured engines we’ve launched for our marine business and we look forward to expanding the program to include our commercial offerings in 2015.”

Manufactured in Corinth, Mississippi, the Cat Reman engines will meet the original emissions requirements of the existing platforms while providing customers the confidence of installing factory-tested solutions.
