Nexus Names New MD (Australia)

Nexus Energy Limited, an Australia-based oil and gas exploration and production company, has appointed new Managing Director.

The company today announced that that Lucio Della Martina has been appointed as Managing Director with immediate effect.

Della Martina was appointed as Chief Executive Officer on 13 May 2012 and since his appointment he has developed and articulated a clear strategy for the company to deliver shareholder value.

“The Board recognises that since his arrival, Lucio has repositioned the organisation and that together with a clear strategy and wealth of industry experience will take the company forward into the next phase in the elevated role as Managing Director,” said Nexus in a statement.

Della Martina has a considerable oil and gas industry experience. The new MD has more than 20 years of experience across refining technology, international oil trading, gas business development, LNG marketing and LNG supply planning.

Prior to joining Nexus he worked for Woodside as the executive vice-president for Australia and the head of the Pluto LNG project.
