Nibulon to Start Southern Bug Dredging

A Ukrainian company engaged in shipping, shipbuilding/repair, transhipment of grains and oilseeds, Nibulon, is about to begin dredging works on the Southern Bug River.

According to the Interfax, the company will start dredging of the Southern Bug by the end of October 2015.

Nibulon Director General Oleksiy Vadatursky said that the company is planning to begin deepening of the river by the end of October by using “our own forces“.

He added that if the problem is ignored, in the future the river could grow shallow, making it impassable to ships.

The Southern Bug dredging project includes the improvement of ship navigation conditions from Voznesensk to Mykolaiv.
