NIGC projects to get exposure at international exhibition

Head of Investment Committee at National Iranian Gas Company said that NIGC’s gas projects are expected to be presented in a package to both local and foreign investors at an international exhibition.

The projects, which include the development of gas transfer pipelines across the country, and the pipelines designed for gas exports to Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, and other bordering countries, are to be offered individually at the Kish exhibition, Asghar Soheilipour, NIGC director added.

He noted that NIGC needs $30 billion to complete its projects, and said, “We are ready to cooperate with domestic and foreign investors in this regard.”

The project for the development of Ilam Refinery, as well as IGAT-6, IGAT-7, IGAT-9, IGAT-10 and IGAT-11 are among the semi-finished projects awaiting new finances.

“Some European companies from France, Britain, Germany, Italy, and Russia as well as companies from Japan, South Korea, and China, have entered into negotiations with National Iranian Gas Company in the areas of the construction of gas refineries and gas pipelines,” Soheilipour said.

NIGC has already started talks with 35 to 40 companies, all of which are among the world’s major and well-known companies, according to Soheilipour.
