Noble lands jack-up work in Australia

Offshore drilling contractor Noble Corporation has been awarded a contract for a jack-up rig in Australia.

In its latest fleet status report on Thursday, the driller said that the 2014-built jack-up drilling rig Noble Tom Prosser has been awarded a contract with PTTEP offshore Australia. The contract duration is from early September 2017 to late October 2017 at a dayrate of $130,000.

The rig has been warm-stacked in the UAE since last October when its contract with the Australian explorer Quadrant Energy expired.

Furthermore, Noble informed that a customer has exercised one 30-day priced option for the 2013-built jack-up rig Noble Regina Allen. The rig is providing accommodation services for an unnamed client in the UK and it has two more 30-day priced options.

The driller also said that its 2011-built drillship Noble Bully I has been available since mid-March. The rig previously worked for Shell in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico with a dayrate of $488,000.
