Nominees for Offshore Energy Young Engineer Award announced

The three nominees for the first Offshore Energy Young Engineer Award have been announced.

The jury consisting of Mr. Joannes Collette (Owner, Collette Consultancy & Design), Mr. Robert Plat (Principal Consultant Offshore, Royal IHC), Mr. Pieter Swart (Subsea Pipeline Principal, Shell), Mr. Jan van der Tempel (Founder, De Oude Bibliotheek Academy) and Mr. Chris Wijsman (Education & Employment Manager, NOGEPA), expressed that the level of talent in this industry is very high. The three nominees demonstrated outstanding achievements in the offshore energy industry.

The three best submissions and thereby nominees are:

Ms. Alexia Aubault – Principle Power

Mr. Tom Wewer – RWE Innogy UK

Mr. Jurgen Zijlmans – Royal IHC

The winner will be announced during the Offshore Energy Opening Gala Dinner on Monday 24th of October at Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam.

Other talents in the race were Mr. Dr. Bryce K. Campbell (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Ms. Beth Dickens (Quoceant Ltd.), Mr. Sebastian Henrion (Boskalis/Middle Point), Mr. Fons Huijs (GustoMSC), Mr. Justin Kretschmar (Teledyne Oil & Gas), Mr. Tomasz Lipiec (MPI Consultants), Mr. Dr. Eduardo Prieto-Araujo (CITCEA-UPC), Mr. Justin Rietveld (Damen Shipyards Gorinchem), Mr. Ked Shayer (Mott MacDonald), Mr. Damir Tadjiev (Wood Group) and Mr. Taco Vissers (ALE).

In addition to the awards ceremony, this black tie gala dinner at the impressive Beurs van Berlage, in the center of Amsterdam will serve a culinary dinner with musical interludes and speeches by dignitaries. Mathijs Bouman, known for his work with RTL Television and the Dutch Financial Newspaper just to name a few, will be the host for the evening.

Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) is an annual event focused on the complete offshore energy industry, from oil & gas to the wind and marine energy.
