Nordic Tankers Appoints New President and CEO

Effective as of 21 February 2014, Nordic Tankers Group appoints Per Sylvester Jensen as President & CEO. Claus Thornberg leaves Nordic Tankers by mutual agreement and will continue with the company during a transition period.

Per Sylvester Jensen (57) began his career in shipping in 1980 and has extensive commercial and operational experience with chemical tanker activities from senior executive positions with Eitzen Chemical, Clarkson Shipping Services and Odfjell. Most recently, Per Sylvester Jensen served as CEO of Eitzen Chemical and contributed to strengthening the company’s position as a market leading chemical tanker operator.
