Norshore set to pay skipped charter fee for 'Norshore Atlantic'

Norshore, a drilling contractor headquartered in Bergen, Norway, is set to pay a part of the outstanding charter fee for the Norshore Atlantic drilling unit.

In a statement issued Monday the company said: “Lately, Norshore has been having a challenging liquidity situation and has therefore been late in paying parts of the charter hire for Atlantic to the vessel owners for the month of October 2015, however, the liquidity situation has now improved and the payment will be made today 16 November 2015.”

The vessel in question, Norshore Atlantic, has been on contract for ConocoPhillips Indonesia for plug and abandonment work since November 3, 2015.

After the completion of the first phase of the contract, an 18 3/4″ BOP will be installed on the Norshore Atlantic and the second phase of the of the plug and abandonment work will continue.
