Northern Petroleum Plc, the full cycle oil and gas company with a portfolio of production, development and exploration assets, announces the appointment of Keith Bush (43) as Managing Director.

Keith Bush joined Northern in May 2012 as Chief Operating Officer and was appointed to the Board last November. Keith holds a degree in Physics and has over 20 years of oil exploration and production industry experience. He started his career with Western Atlas Logging Services, then progressed to managerial positions in Amerada Hess, Burlington Resources and prior to joining Northern was General Manager Operations for E.ON Ruhrgas in Norway. Keith has extensive experience in the North Sea, North Africa, Norway and North America.

After 18 years of service, Richard Latham, non-executive Chairman has retired from the Board. The selection of a new Chairman is in progress as previously announced. Also, Derek Musgrove, who has been Managing Director since 1999, has retired from the Board.

I would like to thank Derek Musgrove for his 14 years service to the Company as Managing Director and his many contributions to the Company.”

Derek Musgrove said:

“The planning of these Board changes started in 2012. Keith has been working alongside me for a prolonged period of handover such that the transition is low risk and smooth.

“I have full confidence that my role is being handed to a very able professional manager for Northern, driving forward existing projects, particularly offshore in the southern Adriatic, and to carry on our planned new projects, particularly those in Canada and Australia. I trust that all shareholders will join me in welcoming and embracing Keith in his new role of directing the Company to a bigger future.”
