Norway: Apply Oil & Gas Celebrates Opening of New Building

A firm foundation for further development and growth. By bringing together the company’s areas of specialisation in the Stavanger area in a new and modern building at Forus, Apply Oil & Gas are consolidating their position as a leading supplier of products, systems and services to the oil industry.

On Thursday, clients and employees at Apply Oil & Gas celebrated the opening of the company’s new building and main office at Moseidveien 17, north-west at Forus. In the 7,000 square-metre premises, Apply Oil & Gas has gathered its engineering and production entities in the Stavanger area under one roof. Previously, these were spread across two locations at Forus and Jåttåvågen. The new building is now the workplace and base for 150 of a total of 220 Apply Oil & Gas employees.

Building for the future

“The new head office will provide a firm foundation for further development and growth and will contribute to consolidating our position as a leading supplier of control systems, products, system packages and services to the global oil industry and maritime sector,” says Peter Nygaard Andersen, CEO in Apply Oil & Gas. “By gathering the engineering and production expertise we have here in the Stavanger region in modern offices tailored to our operations, we achieve important synergies in the form of increased efficiency, improved execution capability and a strengthening of our entire delivery portfolio. All this will, of course, benefit our clients.”

The new premises comprise 4,000 square metres of space for engineering, management and support personnel. The workshop section comprises some 1,600 square metres with ultra-modern production facilities and plenty of headroom for efficient fabrication and outfitting of large modules and system solutions. Completing the building’s floor space is a 1,400 square-metre goods delivery area and warehouse, as well as an outdoor area of just over six acres.

Strong HSE focus

“The location north-west at Forus provides proximity to the important E39 transport link, something that facilitates and strengthens our logistics,” Mr Nygaard Andersen believes. “At the same time, the location just next to the new main road to Sola contributes well to Apply Oil & Gas’s profile.”

Concern for health, safety and the environment is central in all company activities and HSE has also played a key role in the planning of the new building.

Mr Nygaard Andresen points out that great emphasis has been placed on obtaining office and production premises designed for safe and effective work processes.
